This Bpec qualified installer course is designed to provide installers with all the skills and knowledge required to correctly install warm water underfloor heating systems. The course has been developed in conjunction with the Underfloor Heating Manufacturers’ Association with the intention that the training is recognised as demonstrating an understanding of the benefits and technicalities of underfloor heating. The programme consists of pre-reading of the training/reference manual and attendance at a 2 day theory based training course and completion of written assessments.
The course is an ideal start point for those individuals and companies wishing to seek MCS accreditation. We would also recommend participants attend some of the free manufacturers courses that are available to gain a full understanding as to how different systems fit together.

The training course covers all the topics in the training manual in more depth and includes elements of practical work.
Target customers
The course is targeting candidates who have a number of years’ experience in plumbing or conventional heating engineering, hold a formal qualification at NVQ Level 3 in plumbing or heating engineering. In particular the course requires individuals to have a working knowledge of the design of traditional wet central heating systems.
