Course Overview
The C&G 6129-2 Level 2 Technical certificate is delivered through a self study learning program allowing you take the twelve multiple choice exams at our training centre at a date convenient to you. The required practical assessment tasks are also taken at our training centre. Workshop time can be booked at times convenient to you Monday – Saturday.
The C&G 6089 Level 2 NVQ2 certificate is a series of work place (on-the job) assessments. These are carried out by our own approved C&G Assessors at your job location. The number of visits are unlimited and without distance restrictions. Our assessors will also manage & complete your NVQ2 Portfolio allowing you to carry on working without the need to spend time filling out complex paperwork. We will ensure your portfolio is accepted by City & Guilds.

Course Content
The 6129-2 Technical Certificate comprises of the following exam modules: Health & Safety, Plumbing principles, Plumbing Processes, Cold water, Hot water, Sanitation, Central heating, Electrical, Lead, Environmental awareness, Effective working relationships.
The twelve multiple choice exams are taken at our training centre bookable (Mon-Fri) at a time and date to suit. We provide fifteen days, of pre-bookable flexible workshop time (Mon-Sat) at our training facilities, to complete the following minimum required assessment tasks:
• Copper tube positioning, fixings and fabrication to WC, WHB and Bath.
• Installation and decommissioning of full bathroom including: WC, Bath, WHB, Radiator and associated under floor pipe work and pipe work to heating appliance.
• Plastic soil and waste pipe fabrication and installation
• Fabrication and installation of guttering
• Lead: Chimney weathering set fabrication and installation, and lead stack pipe slate.
The 6089-2 NVQ2 Certificate can be completed by successful direct observation in the work place by our own in house approved C&G Assessors. Practical tasks as a minimum to be observed are:
• Safety, Preparation, Installation, Maintenance and Decommissioning
• Install two system types on two occasions. These are hot water, cold water heating or sanitation
