City & Guilds Certification in energy efficiency for domestic heating 6084 (Part L)

Course Aim
To provide a detailed understanding of the connection between environmental damage and the installation of energy efficiency appliances.This course satisfies the requirements of Building Regulations Part L.
Who Would Benefit?
The course is aimed at all approved installers of hot water and hot water heating boilers in domestic premises and is a requirement of CORGI Registration.
Course Content
The course consists of a home study pack with a recommended study time of 16 hours minimum and a one day attendance at The Plumbing Academy for assessment.
■ How energy consumption affects the environment.
■ How energy efficiency affects the role of the installer.
■ Legislation that will force changes.
■ Preparation for assessment.
Course Duration and Location
This one day course (half day training, half day assessment) is available at The Plumbing Academy, Edenbridge.
Certification
Successful candidates will be awarded a City & Guilds 6084 certificate
Course literature
Each candidate will be sent out a trainee pack with all necessary pre-course and workshop training materials. You will receive this 3 weeks prior to the start date.
